Transportation

Everyone knows that transportation is one of the biggest worldwide contributors to global warming. On an individual level, it can make up close to half of your carbon footprint.

The most basic way of reducing your carbon footprint associated with transportation, is to use it less, for both driving and flying. Walk, run, or bike as much as you can. When possible, take public transportation or carpool to cut down on fuel emissions. Take your vacations closer to home to avoid long trips. A train ride across the country can be a great way to see America and prove to be an extremely rewarding trip.

However, driving and flying can sometimes be unavoidable. That being said, there are lots of ways to reduce the carbon emissions coming from your transportation.
